How to make a new blouse in 3 hours? One business day I'll never forget

It is all about a challenge I took on the day in my custom tailoring house. I offer to make perfect fitting Indian traditional blouses to the youthful women of this textile city, always in time. I adopt certain business strategies to entice the women folk to bring into my business arena.

LADIES CUSTOM TAILORING HOUSE!

It was the initial stages of development of my ladies tailoring house. I studied the area and my shop is going to be unique in the sense that there is only one such a shop in this prestigious shopping complex having 110 shops in total. There are a large number of tailoring shops outside the complex having well experienced tailors.

However, I have competence to deal with the circumstances. I have good tailors to stitch any kind of special designer blouses to satisfy the youthful women.

PERFECT AND PUNCTUAL!

I assure that the body fittings will be forever perfect and the delivery is always in time. I used to deliver the finished garments in about 3 days or earlier, in 24 hours also. Generally, the women are satisfied when they get the blouses so quick and so perfect.

MATCHING THE WOMAN'S DESIRE!

This is because that the women wish to wear the newly stitched designer blouses matching to their saris in the following functions. This is a great satisfaction that they derive from wearing a new set of decorative dress in the graceful and elegant occasion.

THAT MEMORABLE DAY!

About 11 O' clock in the morning, a gentle man came with an order to get a blouse stitched for his wife. He said that he needs it by 2.15 p.m. to go by a train to reach a nearby city in the evening. His wife wishes to wear it in the evening function at the city. The customer is prepared to pay any extra charges to get it done in just 3 hours time.

THE TIME STARTS NOW!

I accepted the challenge. I took the materials to my working unit. On the way, I got the matching cotton lining cloth for the blouse. I dipped the lining cloth in water and allowed it to dry in the shade for about a few minutes. In the meantime I made the blouse pattern on a paper to be cut on the cloths shortly.

GET SET AND GO!

I instructed two of my women tailors to keep ready the sewing machines with the correct threads. I just asked a girl to cut both the main and lining cloths with my pattern. Now, the stitching has started.

DIVIDE AND RULE!

One tailor stitched both the sleeves and the other the front portions of the blouses. Again the first girl stitched the back portion. The other girl joined the body and sleeves and finished the blouse.

In the mean time, I asked the delivery girl at the shop to keep a needle with the thread ready for hemming the blouse. It was about 2 O' clock, the gentleman telephoned to know about the position. I said it is ready and he can pick up it any time now!

MISSION SUCCESSFUL!

It was a beautiful and perfectly designed blouse made with in three hours. We delivered the designer blouse to the customer in time as accepted. It was a silent challenge I took up and completed with the help of my own staff. The technique or strategy adopted is division of labor' which made me all the successful in the entire process!
