How to find your "cup size"in your blouse? A true Scientific Guide

Define the cup size of a breast of a woman by measuring the breasts up, down and middle. Horizontal and vertical measurements of breasts will define their position inside a tight fitting blouse. Do not tighten breasts with tape particularly at their fullest parts, while taking measurements.

CUP SIZE:
1. To measure cup size, take the tape measure around your body across the fullest part of your breasts.

Write down this number, say it is 33" and subtract your chest size (32") from it. The difference between the numbers is a way of figuring out your cup size.

POSITION OF THE BREASTS IN A BLOUSE

HORIZONTAL MEASUREMENT:

If your shoulder size is say 14" then draw an imaginary vertical line running at the center of the body from the head. It is exactly at the center in between the breasts at 7".

Alright, now think of another line running exactly at the center of the divisions that will run at 3 1/2" from the top through exactly on the nipple of the breasts.

So, the measurement from the center chest to the nipple point is 3 1/2".

1. But it will be slightly more, when taking real measurement, as the breast has a curvature of the extra flesh. Hence, it will measure up to 4" for girls and up to 4 1/2" for medium breasts of women.

2. Take another horizontal measurement from the nipple to the sides, which may be about 5 1/2" normally.

VERTICAL MEASUREMENTS:

3. Take a measurement from the shoulder Upton the nipple point by keeping the tape vertically. It will be 9" for a normal grown up woman. It will go 9..10..11" also based on the size of the breast.

4. Take another measurement right from the tip of the nipple up to the bottom line of the breast running the tape on the fullness of the curvature of the breast. Hold your breath!

All these vertical and horizontal measurements give an assured position of the breasts on the body of the woman as well on the dress we are going to make, that is a tight fitting blouse.

While drafting the design the position, size, and fullness of the breasts are taken into account from the above measurements.
